Thesis alignments (2.0.5 - patch refresh against snapshot 4.0.5, the Thursday October 15 moment - stagflation printed on both halves, October hike odds fell to about a third with the 10Y at a 24-year high, the Hormuz plan was rejected and strikes paused before the midterms, and the AI complex fell on financing worries after Micron's record quarter; no membership changes, the energy producers firm, ORCL and AMD ease on financing and drawdown, GDX eases on downside beta, and the IEF short eases with the October hike)

Patch refresh against worldview snapshot 4.0.5 (observedAt 2026-10-15T18:42:57Z). Same seven wv.active theses as 2.0.4 - the Fed-transition thesis stays retired - so no ThesisAlignment is added or dropped, and no basket changes membership. Snapshot drift since 2.0.4, for downstream joint math: stagflation 0.86 to 0.89, energy 0.86 to 0.88, hawkish-Warsh 0.94 to 0.91, ai-capex 0.92 to 0.89, defense 0.88 to 0.86, gold 0.84 to 0.82, equity held at 0.70.

The energy vehicles separated, and the producers won. XLE rose 8.0%, XOM 9.2% and CVX 8.0% to window highs while USO rose 0.3% and Brent finished within a dollar of where it started. A premium that is persisting through rerouted supply rather than through a rising spot price is better expressed by the producers' cash flows than by a front-month futures roll, so Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund firms to 0.90 and Exxon Mobil and Chevron gain two points each while United States Oil Fund eases to 0.86. The same logic lifts XLE inside the stagflation basket.

The AI basket separates by financing, not by demand. Micron's record quarter confirmed demand, but the week's rout centred on debt-funded buildout and Chinese memory competition, and the names fell in proportion to that exposure - MU 15.4%, AMD 9.3%, ORCL 6.4%, NVDA 1.5%, AVGO 1.2%. Oracle, the most debt-financed name, eases to 0.74; Advanced Micro Devices eases to 0.88 after giving back most of its September gain; Broadcom firms a point; NVIDIA holds; and Micron Technology keeps its fit with a wider band, because its print was the strongest demand evidence in the basket even as the stock fell hardest.

The rate shorts concentrate in the long end. TLT made a new cycle low while IEF finished flat as the October hike went from likely to about one in three and the long end made 24-year highs. Short iShares 7-10 Year Treasury Bond ETF eases in both baskets that carry it; short iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF eases only a point in the regime basket with a wider band and holds in stagflation.

Gold miners and defense ease on what the window measured. GDX fell 9.7% against GLD's 4.0%, a second window of downside beta, so VanEck Gold Miners ETF eases to 0.72; NOC fell to a 7% drawdown at the October 7 low and eases with RTX while LMT holds.

Basket-level changes at a glance. No membership changes. Energy firms the producers and eases USO; AI eases ORCL and AMD, firms AVGO and widens MU; gold eases GDX; defense eases RTX and NOC; equity firms the UVIX hedge and the IWM short while easing QQQ and VTI; both rate baskets ease IEF.
