Saudi Arabia restarted its East-West pipeline on September 22 2026, Reuters sources said, pumping at a low rate after the drone attacks that forced its shutdown. Reaching 40% of capacity was expected to take a couple of days and a full restart six to eight weeks. Before the restart the kingdom had shifted exports back to the Gulf, loading seven supertankers with about 14 million barrels over the weekend, per EU Sentinel satellite data. The National dates the shutdown to September 13 where prior reporting captured in 4.0.3 dated it September 11.
