Official Statement Evidence

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told reporters in New York that Iran had shared a seven-day plan with US mediators: if its conditions are met, the Strait of Hormuz would reopen at the end of the seven days and talks would restart toward a final deal. Iranian state television said the conditions include lifting the naval blockade, releasing frozen assets and ending the war on all fronts, and that the US had requested the meeting with Araghchi that envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner attended. A mediator told CBS the talks are positive but still early.
