Geopolitical Evidence

Houthi missile and drone attacks on southern Saudi Arabia on Tuesday September 8 2026 ignited fires at oil facilities and wounded 73 people across Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, after weeks of renewed Houthi-Saudi fighting that shattered the four-year Yemen truce and left the group in control of the remainder of Yemen's Red Sea coast and the approaches to Bab al-Mandab. Newly captured here: prior snapshots missed the opening of a second front against the Red Sea export route that Saudi Arabia has relied on since Hormuz closed.
