Owned, funded, or controlled by a government. Includes official press offices (where the state IS the subject), state media (RT, PressTV, Xinhua), and government-funded broadcasters with editorial firewalls (BBC, NPR, DW) which sit somewhere between independent and state-affiliated and should generally use this tag with a note in sourceName or a future structured field.
